Medca Healthcare ("we", "us", "Medca") provides home healthcare services in Bangalore. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you visit medcahealthcare.com, contact our care coordinators, or receive services at home.

Information we collect

Contact details: Name, phone number, email address, and home address for service coordination.
Health-related information: Diagnosis summaries, care requirements, medication lists, and clinical notes shared by you or your treating physician to deliver safe home care.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited on our website for security and analytics.
Communications: Phone, WhatsApp, and email records related to enquiries and ongoing care.

How we use information

Assess care needs and assign appropriate nurses, caregivers, or clinical staff.
Coordinate visits, schedules, and emergency escalation.
Communicate with families and, where authorised, treating doctors.
Maintain billing, service records, and regulatory compliance.

Legal basis and consent

We process personal data based on your consent, contractual necessity to deliver requested healthcare services, and legitimate interests in operating a safe home-care service. Sensitive health data is handled only with appropriate safeguards and on a need-to-know basis among assigned clinical staff and supervisors.

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with:

Assigned nurses, caregivers, and supervisors directly involved in care.

Location (optional)

"Use my current location": if you tap this button, your browser first asks your permission. If you allow it, your device's location is used once to find your pincode. Your coordinates are sent to our server, which passes them to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to look up the pincode (Nominatim sees our server, not your IP address). We do not store your exact location. We do not look up your location from your IP address.

You can also type or pick your pincode yourself. We keep the pincode for your visit (it expires after 2 hours without activity) and use it, with its area name, to show services in your area. If you chose a pincode, it is added to the WhatsApp message when you tap a WhatsApp button, so our team can help you. When you tap a WhatsApp or call button, we record the click, including the page, the pincode and area you chose, and the prefilled message. If you have an account, your pincode may be saved to your profile. Pincodes may also appear in page addresses recorded in our analytics and server logs.

You can block location access in your browser settings at any time.

Data retention

Care records are retained as required for clinical continuity, billing, and applicable healthcare regulations. Marketing enquiry data is retained only as long as needed to respond and coordinate services.
